Tango Repair Tracker allows equipment repair
vendors to enter plant machinery design, failure, warranty, and test
information through a web browser. Information from multiple
repair shops maybe be integrated into a single Tango database.
Repair vendors typically provide overhaul documentation as
stand-alone paper or electronic reports that are transmitted
independently to the plant. If the plant wants to do more with
this information, it must be entered in to a plant database.
Rarely is this additional step performed, so the plant lacks a
comprehensive database for analysis of repair or warranty
information.
Benefits:
- Reduced data entry for plant personnel - repair
vendors enter purchase and repair documentation into the
web-hosted database in their normal course of business.
- Consistency and availability of information -
with a single web-hosted database a common nomenclature can be
enforced, and information is available to any authorized manger or
employee with internet access
- Supplements the plant's CMMS limitations -
allowing repair shops to enter repair information is more complete
and consistent than plant entry of information provided by
vendors
- Identify warranty repair cases
- Calculate top causes of failure, mean time
between failures (MTBF), and repair cost for equipment and
vendors.
