Creating and Editing A Task |
1) From the Tango Location Tree in the left hand workspace, move down to 'Plug-ins' and expand that tree item to view the installed plug-in modules. Right click 'Condition Assessment Task Management'. Then select 'Edit/Add Task Types' to add or modify a 'Condition Assessment Task'. |

Select Route Locations for Task From Entire Database |
This approach to add plant locations to a task is not recommended. Please see 'Selecting Task Locations' from the Tree. To define which Tango asset component locations are being covered by a specific task, right click on 'Condition Assessment Task Management' and select 'Add/Edit Task Types'. Right click on the task, and select 'Edit Task Locations'. For a large plant, this method of selecting locations may be time consuming. Refer to 'Select Route Locations' from Tree for a faster way to select locations. |
This will open the 'Condition Assessment Location Selections' where all locations defined in the Tango database appear in a list. Check the box in the 'Selected' column to include a location in the task. The list may be sorted by each column heading by double clicking on the column heading. After all desired locations to appear in the route have been defined, select the 'OK' button. Then select 'OK' in the 'Task Types' window, to save changes. |

Select Route Locations from Location Tree |
Locations may be added to a 'Condition Assessment Assignment' at any level of the location tree. Utilizing this method of selecting locations, allow the user to only add locations beneath the selected location. To select the location for a route, right click on the level of the tree that you would like to add to the task and then select 'Condition Assessment Task Management'. (To select most assets under a function, right click on the function).. |
In the new window, all existing 'Condition Assessment Tasks' will appear in the list; double click on the task to select locations for that task. |
The 'Condition Assessment Location Selections' window will open. To select a location, click in the box in the "Selected' column. The 'Select All' button will select all locations in the list. After using the 'Select All' button, if some locations are not desired to be in the route, they may be unselected by clicking the check box. |

Set E-Mail Notifications for a Condition Monitoring Task |
E-mail notifications may be sent regarding an upcoming task. The lead time (how many days in advance) the email notification will be sent is set by right clicking on 'Condition Assessment Task Management' and selecting 'Plug-in Options'. |
In order for a plant notification e-mail to be sent, an e-mail address must be entered in the 'Condition Assessment Task Type' window under 'Plant Notification E-mail Address'. For an analyst reminder e-mail to be sent, an e-mail address must be entered in the 'User Region Explorer' for that user assigned to the task. The 'Lead Time' for both the plant and the analyst may be entered by clicking in the column and entering a number. Select 'OK' to save changes to the 'Lead Time'. |
Define the Condition Monitoring Task Interval |
The 'Condition Monitoring Task Interval' is the time that elapses between the due date of an old task and the due date of a new task. To set the interval, right click on 'Condition Assessment Task Management' and select 'Edit/Add Task Type'. |
The 'Interval' (In Days) set the time that elapses between the due date of an old task and the due date of the new task. An 'Interval' that equals 30 days will be set as a monthly interval (1st due date = January 1; 2nd due date = February 1; 3rd due date = March 1). To set a task that is due every 6 months, enter 180 days in the 'Interval' column. The 'Days to Complete' column does not affect the 'Task Interval'. |
Assign A Condition Monitoring Task |
'Condition Assessment Task' is assigned to a user when the task is initially created. To assign the task, right click on 'Condition Assessment Task Management' and select 'Create Task Assessment'. |
The
'Condition Assessment Assignment Generation' window is
used to create a task assignment. Select the user
from the user pull-down list and the date the task
should be completed by. Select the check box

Task Auto Generation |
After a 'Condition Assessment Task' has been assigned to a user the first time, the task will auto generate (show up under the 'Pending Assignments' automatically) if the following criteria is met:
Reorder Sequence for Task Items (Infrared Only) |
'Task' locations may be ordered in a specified sequence for 'Condition Assessment Task' routes. To reorder the route, right click on 'Condition Assessment Task Management' and select 'Edit/Add Task'. |
To reorder a task, right click on the task and select 'Configure Route' (Note: If 'Configure Route' cannot be selected, select 'Configure Extended Task Options', then select the check box next to 'Is Ordered Route, Can Download To Handheld, and Collect Trend Values' and select 'OK'). |
In the 'Route Order, Bar Code, Trend Set' window, the 'Route Order' may be entered. In the 'Route Order' column, enter the desired sequence number for each route location. Each location must have an entered value and two locations may not have the same value (Ex: Cannot have two locations with 15 as the 'Route Order'). A value order number may be skipped when ordering the route (Ex: 'Route Order Values' used 12, 13, 14 & 17 so 15 & 16 would not be used). A Bar Code value may be entered so when the bar code is scanned, the corresponding location is found in the route for assessment. Select 'OK' to save the sequence of the route order. |
Modify Closed Assignments |
Reopen an assignment if assessments from a 'Closed Condition Assessment Task' need to be modified, Right click on 'Condition Assessment Task Management' and then select 'Re-open Closed Assignment'. Assignment may need to be modified if the assessment state for a location needs to be changed (analyst may decide a location that did not receive a 'Measured Condition Entry' needs this assessment). |
Select the 'Closed Assignment' to be re-opened in the 'Re-Open a Closed Assignment' window. Right click on the 'Closed Assignment' and select 'Re-Open Assignment.' Select 'OK' to close the 'Re-Open Closed Assignment' window. |
The assignment that was re-opened will appear in the 'Pending Assignments' list (if the tree is expanded below 'Pending Assignments', the tree may have to be closed and then re-expanded again to get the re-opened assignment to appear in the list). Right click on the 'Re-Opened Assignment' and select 'Enter Data'. |
In the 'Enter Condition Assessment Date' window, the assessment locations will appear in a tree structure as in the tree structure in Tango. To change assessments, expand the tree to the location to be assessed and right click on the location. Another assessment state can then be selected. After all assessments have changed, select 'OK' to save the changes. Then you will be asked if you would like to 'Close the Assignment', select 'Yes' to close the assignment. |
