OILOGRAPHY USER'S MANUAL

Oilography is a web-based program providing systematic Oil Sample Analysis Management: 1) Management of sample points, interval, and lubricant ID 2) Management of sample labels and shipment to lab 3) Management of oil lab analysis results in an interactive report 4) Secondary sample analysis by customized alarms and consultants 5) Communication of oil analysis-based work request to reliability and maintenance management systems To get set up, your sample point database is usually downloaded by your oil lab(s) into Oilography. The sample point data is entered by the lab as samples are performed. You can access the download protocol at the web address below: |

OILOGRAPHY TERMS |
|
Site - A submission and reporting group, usually a sub-plant or facility. Company - Group of related sites - for example, a company may contain several sites. Points - Total oil sample points defined in the Oilography database. Un-reviewed Samples - These are samples which require the site user to review and assign a severity before the sample is accepted for the sample point. Most Recent Sample - This is the most recent data for a sample point, but does not include un-reviewed samples. Location Description - This is the functional location of the sample point. This name should describe the asset component and setup/resource. Example: Boiler Feed Pump 1A - motor - inboard sump. Equipment Description - This describes the physical equipment installed at the functional location. Example: Westinghouse - 1500 HP - synchronous motor. Lab Sample Code - Sample ID. An identification number for each unique sample data set. Lab Sample Point ID - Unique identification for sample point. Status - Severity level assigned by lab or site review analyst. |

Login user name, password, and user permissions are set by 24/7 Systems. The designated site administrator should e-mail 24/7 Systems with additions or changes to user set-up information. |

Upon Login, the status page displayed shows how many un-reviewed samples are present. |

SAMPLES AWAITING REVIEW |
||
|
Oilography logic is
typically set up to provide any samples retrieved by the
Lab, with alarm status, to be placed in the 'Samples
Awaiting Review' state. From the 'Samples Awaiting Review' tab, the oil analyst selects the point to be
reviewed and clicks the report icon

1) Left click

3) Select preferred 'Location Chart Group'.
4) Click on 'Apply'
6) If the system seems sluggish, hit 'F5' (keyboard) to refresh the screen and view the charts. |

clicking the 'Selected' box

Type comments in 'Add Comment' box 4) Once comments have been added, choose next action from buttons at bottom of screen. Must left click one of the 'Save & . . .' buttons or the comments will not be saved! |

1) Left click the 'Review Needed' button to open review screen. 2) Left click appropriate 'overall' condition from the drop-down box. Left click 'Reviewed' to finish. |

The overall severity levels are configured for each site based on your specifications. The configuration designates which severity levels trigger a 'Tango Condition Entry'. |

This tab allows the user to 'add/edit' sample point information and assign points to a task or define an individual sample individual sample interval. |

To map an Oilography "Sample Point' to Tango: 1) Left click on the 'Samples Awaiting Review' tab.
2) Left click on the gray
Tango 3) Type the name of the 'Location' from the Tango Location Tree and click search. 4) The Location mapping screen will open.
5) Left click
6) Once the location is
mapped, the Tango icon
7) Once a location has been mapped, it will appear in the Tango Integrated Condition Status Report and can be found in the Tango Location Tree (examples below). |
